About Kevin Bridges

Kevin Bridges is one of Scotland’s biggest comedy exports. The Scottish comedian was born in Clyebank, Scotland in 1986 and rose to fame following his debut in 2009 where he starred on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow at The Edinburgh Playhouse.

Success ensued and tickets to see Bridges’ run at the Edinburgh festival sold out in just a day. In 2010 this early acclaim continued and Bridges recorded his debut DVD, which outsold fellow comedians Billy Connelly and Frankie Boyle.

Kevin Bridges went on to be a natural on television hosting the comedy shows Stand Up For The Week in 2011 and Live At The Apollo along with headlining Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. It didn’t stop there as Bridges went on to host his own TV show for BBC1: Kevin Bridges – What’s The Story.

In 2012 he returned to the live circuit with his new show, Kevin Bridges – The Story Continues. It was a smash hit selling 45,000 tickets in just the first day. The tour included a nine-date stint at the Glasgow SECC Arena and, again, tickets sold out.

The tour’s accompanying DVD, which was released in 2012, was another hit becoming a bestseller and reaching the Top 5 in the Christmas charts.

More recently the comedian has released his autobiography, We Need To Talk About It, along with hosting further shows for the BBC. Along with his success, fellow comedians have praised the star with Billy Connelly labelling him “Brilliant”.
