Michael McIntyre (full name Michael Hazen James McIntyre) was born in 1976, Merton, southwest London. He is one of the most prolific stand-up comedians in the UK and has appeared in numerous shows and stand-up television programs.
His big break came at the Royal Variety Performance in 2006 and since then, has gone on to receive a multitude of awards including, British Comedy Award 2010 winner - Best Male TV Comic, British Comedy Awards 2009 - Winner for Best Live Stand-up, Variety Club Awards 2009 - Best Comedian and National Television Awards 2011 nominee - Best Comedy Programme for Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.
Michael McIntyre tickets for his show at the Hammersmith Apollo, London was a massive success, and his five date tour, a sell-out. He was the fastest-selling comedian at the Edinburgh Festival and his first tour at London Wembley Arena and London O2 Arena was a record-breaking hit with over 500,000 people attending. In 2011 he appeared as a judge in Britain’s Got Talent and has also written a book Michael McIntyre Life & Laughing, My Story.ichael McIntyre went on to quit BGT (Britain’s Got Talent) in order to focus on his new 2012 Stand-up tour.
In Christmas 2011, he hosted a special Christmas edition of ‘’Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow’’ which featured a number of other well-known comedians: Jack Dee, Sean Lock, Rhod Gilbert, David Mitchell, James Corden, Miranda Hart, Rob Brydon and also had music from Pixie Lott and Kylie Minogue.
In 2012, Michael McIntyre went on to be nominated for two awards and won The National Television Awards - Best Entertainment Show (Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow) and was also nominated for the BAFTA Awards - Best Entertainment Programme (Michael McIntyre's Christmas Comedy Roadshow).
