Mumford & Sons UK and Ireland tour
Updated: 2 September 2015

Mumford & Sons head out on a huge arena tour in 2015, which will start in Nottingham on 28 November.

The Grammy Award-winning, folk-pop band will tour Sheffield, Birmingham, Dublin, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool, London (where they will play two nights at The O2 arena), Leeds and Glasgow.

The band recently headlined Reading and Leeds Festival where they brought in a huge crowd and performed songs from Wilder Mind, their third album. Expect more headline worthy performances on their 2015 tour and a mixture of their old and new hits.

Wilder Mind, their third album, was released in May. The collection includes lead single Believe and sees the group evolve into a more pop-rock sound. From banjo to bass, fans will be in for a treat when they see Mumford & Sons live with tickets available below.

Support for the tour is Jack Garratt, the Brit musician and producer who mixes his talent as a singer with ability to produce bass-heavy tracks, on all dates, excluding 10 December. The show is the band’s second date at The O2 and a special guest will be announced later.

About Mumford & Sons

Mumford & Sons formed in late 2007 with Marcus Mumford, Marshall Winston, Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane in the line-up. They quickly established themselves amongst the new-folk scene that was rising out of London, alongside artists such as Laura Marling and Noah And The Whale.

Mumford & Sons went on to release their debut album, Sigh No More. It landed the group the BBC’s Sound Of 2009 award. They quickly gathered a huge and loyal number of fans with their beautiful blend of pure, musical genius.

The band’s hit track, Little Lion Man, spread their sound around the country. It took Zane Lowe’s heart and subsequently earned his Track Of The Week accolade. Meanwhile, their album proved to be a success in both the US and UK. It reached No.2 in both countries.

Mumford & Sons’ follow-up continued their rise. The album, Babel, debuted at No.1 on the UK Albums Chart and Billboard 200. It became the fastest-selling album of 2012 and, with just two albums, the group headlined Glastonbury in 2013.

2013 was another huge year for Mumford & Sons. They started by winning the Album Of The Year Grammy Award for Babel and went on to wow crowds at Glastonbury. Their massive festival set proved that the band, and their banjos, had truly won over the UK.

Mumford & Sons returned with their third album, Wilder Mind, in 2014. The collection moved away from the heavy folk sound, which had become so recognisable, and took on a more pop-rock focus.
