England Cricket
England Cricket has taken place since 1887 when it was first given test status. From 1997, England Cricket was governed by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and previously to this, by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) from 1903 until the end of 1996.
The England Cricket team wear traditional whites with the three lions emblazoned on the shirt and red piping on the shirt and trousers. They have taken part in a number of tournaments over the years; The Ashes, post First World War matches and have been successful - reaching the quarter-finals of the 2011 World Cup and 2009 semi-final in the ICC Champions Trophy.
