West Indies Cricket
The West Indies Cricket male team is represented by players from the West Indian nations: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Anguilla, Montserrat, British Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands and Sint Maarten.
The history of the game began during the times of British rule in the 1890’s; however, the first West Indies Cricket Test match was played in 1928 at Lord’s Cricket ground in London. The current captain is Darren Sammy with the West Indies team reaching the quarter finals of the 2011 International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup and the second stage of the ICC World Twenty20 2010.
