The 2015 Ashes series will get underway with the First Test taking place from 8 – 12 July at Cardiff’s SWALEC Stadium.

England and Australia will then head to London to play the Second Test at Lord’s Cricket Ground from 16 – 20 July 2015.

The Ashes series enters August during the Third Test when the teams head north to Birmingham’s Edgbaston Cricket Ground. The matches will take place from 29 July – 2 August.

For the Fourth Test, England face Australia at Nottingham’s Trent Bridge on 6 – 10 August 2015 before the teams head back to the capital to play the Fifth, and final, Test match.

The final Test match will be held at The Oval in London from 20 – 24 August 2015 with 2015 Ashes tickets available for the below dates.

About The Ashes

The Ashes began in 1882 following Australia’s first win on English soil at London’s The Oval. The British press were to thanks for the name after printing a mock obituary about the death of English cricket stating that, “The body will be cremated and the ashes taken to Australia".

Ivo Bligh, England’s cricket captain at the time, promised to reclaim the ashes and thus, the series began.

The Ashes series is a 5-match series and is hosted by England and Australia. The 2013-2014 Ashes series was held in Australia. The series was won by the host team and marked the first time since 2006-2007 series that Australia had regained the Ashes.
