The Prodigy are coming to Scotland. The band have confirmed additional shows on their 2015 tour that will take place in Aberdeen and Glasgow.

22 November at Aberdeen’ GE Oil & Gas Arena and 23 November at The SSE Hydro are The Prodigy’s new dates. The shows will kick off the band’s UK and Ireland tour, which will continue to arenas throughout November and December.

The Prodigy’s tour is in support of The Day Is My Enemy, which is their first album since 2009 and landed the band their sixth UK No.1. The collection includes Nasty, Wild Frontier and Ibiza.

The Prodigy will take over the UK and Ireland’s biggest arenas, playing tracks from their No.1 album The Day Is My Enemy, this winter.

The group follow their spring tour and festival dates with a nationwide arena tour. The live dates will kick off at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena on 24 November and come to a close at London’s The SSE Arena, Wembley, on 4 December.

The legendary outfit’s tour will visit Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena, Manchester Central, Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena and Dublin’s 3Arena during November. December will see the group perform at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena and Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena, before the tour ends in London.

The Prodigy’s concerts are in support of their album The Day Is My Enemy, which followed 2009’s Invaders Must Die and charted at No.1 in the UK. The three-piece will be joined by the American hip hop group Public Enemy on their 2015 tour.

About The Prodigy

The Prodigy have been credited as one of the pioneers of the big beat genre, and the group are renowned for putting on unmissable live shows. A fact confirmed by the group headlining the biggest music festivals in the world, including the likes of Creamfields, Download and Lollapalooza.

It was in 1996 with the release of the track Firestarter that The Prodigy first saw global success. In the following year their landmark album The Fat of The Land was released, which included the hugely popular singles Smack My B*tch Up and Breathe.

The Fat of The Land received multi-platinum certifications across the world and scored the No.1 spot in a number of countries, including the UK, US, Australia and Canada. The album served as the follow-up to their second release: 1994's Music For The Jilted Generation. The success of their 1994 album couldn't have prepared the band for what was to come when The Fat of The Land hit the record shops in 1997.

Following its release, The Prodigy went on a stupendously successful and very long promotional tour. It wasn't until 2004 that The Prodigy returned with a new album. Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned and Invaders Must Die followed in 2004 and 2009 respectively. While successful, the albums never matched the success of The Fat of The Land.

The Prodigy released their first album since 2009 in March 2015. The album, The Day Is My Enemy, was described as “an attack” by The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett. The collection charted at No.1 in the UK and gave the band their sixth top charting album.
