The long-awaited Batman Live spectacular arrives at UK arenas in August and continues its stint on our shores until October.

The spellbinding Batman Live stage show is going to stun audiences in Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham, London, Liverpool, Nottingham, Dublin and Belfast before moving to arenas in Europe, before going to America the following year.

A treat for Batman fans of all ages. The Batman Live show is not a musical but an action-fuelled live show, featuring a new storyline that involves some of well-known Batman characters, such as The Joker, The Riddler, Catwoman and The Penguin and take place in settings famed from the legenadry DC Comics stories, including Gotham City, the Batcave, Wayne Manor and Arkham Asylum.

Striking stunts, illusions, pyrotechnics and video screens enhance this one-of-its-kind live experience that will thrill audiences at Manchester MEN Arena (20th July), Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (27th – 31st July), Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham, London O2 Arena (24th August – 4th September), Liverpool, Nottingham, Dublin and Belfast.

It has been revealed that a host of big names in their respective fields are working on the Batman Live arena shows to ensure the "best possible shows". Executive Producer Nick Grace will lead the project with legendary DC Comics’ artist Jim Lee. Take That and Lady Gaga set designer Es Devlin will transform arenas all over UK, creating the vision of Jake Berry who lists U2 and The Rolling Stones amongst his clients.

Batman Live will turn UK Arenas "In to Gotham City"

The Batman Live creative team has released a video revealing more details of the 2011 UK arena tour. The O2 Arena London and other venues will be transformed in Gotham City with a huge 100ft by 60ft stage with giant skyscrapers, and the Batmobile and helicopters flying above. The venue will be "filled with a city sound scape, including sirens, police radio messages and an epic new Batman soundtrack recorded at Abbey Road studios". Batman fans are said to have been reassured by the news that DC Comics and Warner Brothers are working closely on the Batman Live project.

18 Batman Live dates at The O2 Arena London!

Organisers of Batman Live have announced that when the show hits London in 2011 there will be a whooping eighteen dates. Batman Live will visit The O2 Arena London, the UK’s largest arena, between the August 24th 2011 and September 4th 2011. Batman Live tickets will be available for evening, matinee and morning shows. The shows will feature the all the classic iconic Batman villains including The Joker, Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The show will be “not a musical but a high quality live show with a thrilling Batman story, filled with action, that will appeal to adults, teenagers and families.”
