Download Festival is a heavy metal and rock festival which is held at Donington Park in England.

The festival was started in 2003 and was conceived after the earlier rock festivals, Monsters of Rock festival in the ‘80s and mid ‘90s.

Download Festival is usually held in June and is set over three days, bringing together the best in thrash metal, heavy rock and other alternative cross-over music.

Top headliners to have appeared at Download Festival include Iron Maiden, Linkin Park, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses and Audioslave.
