Meltdown Festival returns to the Southbank Centre in London this summer with Talking Heads co-founder David Byrne at the helm. The award-winning musician has curated an extensive line-up, which will include music, theatre and performances from the man himself.
Highlights of the 2015 bill include a show from Anna Calvi, who is set to perform an intimate gig in the Queen Elizabeth Hall; Atomic Bomb, where David Byrne and band will play songs by producer William Onyeabor; and We’re Gonna Die, which will be a musical theatre performance from David Byrne.
About Meltdown Festival
Meltdown festival started in 1993 and has been held annually at Southbank Centre. Each year a renowned music artist or acts direct the festival. Throughout the years many established acts have curated the festival, including Elvis Costello (1995), David Bowie (2002), Patti Smith (2005), Jarvis Cocker (2007) and Yoko Ono (2013).
