Wireless Festival
The Wireless Festival began life in 2005 and takes place in Hyde Park, London and has also taken place at Harewood House, Leeds during 2006-2007. Named after its sponsor, it became the O2 Wireless Festival during the period 2005-2008. This changed to the new sponsor (Barclaycard) in 2009 until the present day, and became the Barclaycard Wireless Festival.
The festival spans a combination of dance, electronic, urban, alternative and indie music. Previous headliners have been The Black Eyed Peas, Pulp, The Chemical Brothers, Jay-Z, The Strokes, Kasabian and Kanye West. Over the years, the Barclaycard Wireless Festival has developed into a three day event focusing more each genre namely: Urban, Dance and Alternative.
