Reading and Leeds Festival is one of the UK's biggest music festivals and has become an institution amongst music fans. The gigantic end-of-season festival, with two sites at Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leeds’ Bramham Park, will take place over the August bank holiday weekend on 22 -24 August.

This year the festival will be headlined by Arctic Monkeys and Blink-182 while Queens Of The Stone Age and Paramore will team up for a co-headline spot.

Reading and Leeds Festival History

The festival has its roots in Reading where it was launched in 1961 as a Jazz festival under the name Reading Festival.

Leeds as additional site was launched in 1990s at Temple Newsam but moved to its current location in Bramham Park in 2003.
