The gigantic end-of-season festival with its twin sites at Reading Richfield Avenue and Leeds Bramham Park, Reading & Leeds Festival is taking place at the August bank holiday weekend and impresses each year with gargantuam line ups with the hottest acts from now, yesteryear and up-and-coming future stars.
Reading & Leeds Festival History
The festival has its roots in Reading where it was launched in 1961 as as a Jazz festival under the name Reading Festival.
Leeds as additional site was launched in 1990s at Temple Newsam but moved to its current location in Bramham Park in 2003.
