New Look Wireless 2015
Updated: 2 April 2015

When: 3 – 5 July 2015
Where: Finsbury Park, London
Who: Drake, Avicii, Kendrick Lamar, David Guetta and Nicki Minaj to headline, plus many more

Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the New Look Wireless festival builds on its impressive legacy with a scorcher of a line-up for summer 2015. Plus, a special Wireless 10th Birthday Party will be held a week before the three-day event.

Wireless Festival will return to London’s Finsbury Park from 3 to 5 July, with Wireless 10 taking place on 28 June.

Who’s playing?

Line-ups don’t get much better than the 2015 Wireless fest bill. Drake and dual headliners Avicii & Kendrick Lamar and David Guetta & Nicki Minaj will headline the three-day event from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 July.

Ahead of Drake’s headline slot, he will perform at Finsbury Park on Sunday 28 June topping the festival’s 10th birthday party line-up. Drake will be joined by Rita Ora, Chance The Rapper, Katy B and many more.

New Look Wireless Festival Day One: Drake

First up to headline the festival on Friday 3 July is Aubrey “Drake” Graham. He’s a Grammy Award winner, a multi-platinum selling artist, a record holder and an innovator. His 2009 mixtape, So Far Gone, saw Drake rise to the forefront of the hip-hop scene. He has since gone on to become one of the leading R&B artists holding the record for most No.1’s on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop chart.

Drake will be joined by A$AP Rocky, Major Lazer, Labrinth, Nero, Duke Dumont, Party Next Door, Joey Bada$$, Maverick Sabre, Fuse ODG, Krept & Konan, Lethal Bizzle, Klingande, ILoveKonnen, G-Eazy, Collie Buddz, Travi$ Scott, Ms. Dynamite, Little Simz, OCD: Moosh & Twist and Jermain Jackman.

New Look Wireless Day Two: Avicii and Kendrick Lamar

The first of the dual headliners, Avicii and Kendrick Lamar, top the bill on Saturday 4 July. Avicii is a genre-defying DJ who is no stranger to a large crowd having played at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Born Tim Bergling, Avicii’s 2013 single Wake Me Up, taken from the album True, became one of the biggest tracks of all time. The single was No.1 in 81 countries, achieved four-time platinum status and has been streamed over 2.6 billion times around the world.

His co-headliner, Kendrick Lamar, was hailed “the new king of the West Coast” by Snoop Dogg, Kurupt and Game. He lived up to the name releasing Good Kid, M.A.A.D City in 2012. The album earned Lamar acclaim from critics and fans for its classic brilliance, narrative and his skilled rapping.

Mary J Blige, Knife Party, Childish Gambino, Gorgon City, Jess Glynne, Netsky, DJ Mustard, Robin Schulz, Tinashe, Raleigh Ritchie, Indiana, Stormzy, MNEK, 3LAU, Ows, Bad Rabbits, Sinead Harnett, Ady Suleiman, Nick Brewer and Etta Bond join Avicii and Kendrick Lamar on the line-up.

New Look Wireless Day Three: David Guetta and Nicki Minaj

The second pair of headliners, David Guetta and Nicki Minaj, will close the festival on Sunday 5 July. Electronic-dance-music pioneer, David Guetta, will showcase his new material that has propelled Guetta into his new musical phase. Listen is Guetta’s new album that represents the evolved DJ-producer. Tracks include Dangerous and, the Emeli Sande collaboration, What I Did for Love.

Meanwhile, arguably the reigning queen of the hip-hop world, Nicki Minaj will be entertaining with tracks from her eagerly-received third album The Pinkprint. The collection includes Anaconda and Only, which features fellow Wireless headliner Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown.

Jessie J, Clean Bandit, Stromae, August Alsina, Charli XCX, Wretch 32, Pusha T, Rae Sermmurd, Grandmaster Flash, Shakka, Arrested Development, Logic, George The Poet, Jacob Plant, Tove Styrke, Damage and Tori Kelly, plus a special performance from Jaden & Willow Smith, complete day three of the New Look Wireless festival line-up.

New Look Wireless 10th Birthday Party: Drake and guests

The one-off birthday celebration will take place on Sunday 28 June. The evening, held at Finsbury Park, will see Drizzy headline the bill. He will be joined by Rita Ora, Katy B, Chance the Rapper, Public Enemy, Black Star, Kid Ink, Big Sean, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah, De La Soul, Jhene Aiko, G-Eazy, ILoveMakonnen.

What do I need for Wireless Festival?

Wireless Festival is a no-camping festival, so that makes it pretty simple when it comes to packing. All you really need are the essentials:
1) Yourself
2) Ticket – You can buy yours below if you haven’t got one yet.
3) Money / Food – You can bring food or alternatively just buy something at the festival as there will be food and drink stalls onsite.
4) Phone – To Instagram those unforgettable moments and to help you keep your group together .
5) Rain coat and sunscreen – You never know what the weather will be like in London.

Getting home from Wireless Festival

As you can’t camp at Wireless Festival we recommend thinking about how you’re going to get home beforehand.

The festival takes place in north-east London at Finsbury Park and it will be busy (very, very busy) when you leave. Artists usually finish at around 10:30pm (around 10pm on Sunday) and you’ll be directed out of the festival.

Stick to public transport if you can. It’s easy to get to Finsbury Park from central or greater London via the Piccadilly or Victoria Lines. The nearest tube station is Finsbury Park (Piccadilly and Victoria Lines), while Manor House (Piccadilly Line) is around a 10 minute walk away from the festival site.

Buses are frequent with routes 4, 19, 29, 106, 141, 153, 210,236, 253, 254, 259, 279, 341, W3, W7 servicing Finsbury Park.

The key points you need to know

Before heading to the festival please bear in mind that if you’re under 16 you need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who’s over 18. Bring ID if you look young (or want to be served alcohol). Under 5’s are not permitted into the festival.

If you’re feeling hungry you can take food and drink into the festival but make sure drinks are in a sealed (unopened) container. No glass or alcohol is allowed onto the festival site.

There are bars (woo!) around the festival for those who fancy a tipple and there are also food stalls if you’re feeling peckish.

If you want to have a carefree day you can have your very own locker for £6. This beats worrying about your valuables. You should be able to fit your bag and coat in there but please be aware they are the only storage facilities available, so don’t bring too much stuff!
