Hampton Court Flower Show
RHS Hampton Court Flower Show first began in 1990 and is the world’s biggest flower show. It was created by Historic Royal Palaces and Network Southeast. In 1992 Network Southeast decided to end funding of the show and Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) won the bid to take over the flower show.
The RHS Hampton Court Flower Show has always run in the first or second week in July every year and has got bigger year on year. With additional sponsorship from The Daily Mail in 1993, the show has grown to over 34 acres, with over 600 visitors attending each year.
Previous show competition winners in 2011 include ‘I am, because of who we are’ for Best Show Garden, ‘Heathers in Harmony’ for Best Small Garden and ‘On the Sea by John Keats’ for Best English Poet’s Garden.
