Royal Ascot
Ever since the first ‘Royal’ race in 1711, Royal Ascot is a sports event as much as it is a social event and with all the glitzy celebrations taking place off the race course, it is easy to overlook the rather excellent action occuring on the race course.
Respected for top class racing, the Ascot racecourse underwent a major redevelopment programme and was re-opened in 2006 by Her Majesty The Queen. One of the first triumphant on the new racecourse was French jockey Olivier Peslier on Ouija Board who won the Prince of Wales's Stakes.
Royal Ascot is the most dazzling and well-known event in the racing calendar that you will talk about in the years to come. Don’t miss the fun and glamour.
