Chicago Cubs
The Chicago Cubs are a Major League Baseball team that plays in the North Side Central Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The club is in the Central Division of the National League. They are owned by the Tribune Company and are managed by Lou Piniella. The team's President is John McDonough (on an interim basis) and the General Manager is Jim Hendry.
The Cubs are one of two major league teams based in Chicago. The other team based in Chicago is the Chicago White Sox of the American League. Both clubs are charter members of their respective leagues. Both clubs won the first ever National and American League Championships in 1876 and 1901, respectively. In addition, both clubs were called the "White Stockings" when they won their first league championships.
