Il Divo
Il Divo is a classical-pop band formed of five male singers, Urs Bühler, Sébastien Izambard, David Miller and Carlos Marín. Il Divo are signed to pop mogul Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco Music and sing in English, Italian, Spanish, French, and Latin.
Their first album, self-titled Il Divo (2004) went multi-platinum and was number one in 13 countries and proved to be highly successful. This led onto the album Ancora (2005) which included a duet with French-Canadian diva Celine Dion "I Believe In You (Je crois en toi)”, and swept the US Billboard Top 200 at No 1.
The group went on to produce a further three albums Voices (2006), Siempre (2006) and The Promise (2008) which also reached number 1 in the UK in November 2008 made Il Divo a global success. Wicked Game (2011), Il Divos’ newest album was released 28th November 2011 and contains re-works of classic songs, Chris Isaak’s 1989 hit “Wicked Game” and Roy Orbison classic, “Crying.”
In November 2011, Il Divo took to stage once more and performed the classic Andrea Bocelli's “Time to Say Goodbye” on the Strictly Come Dancing results show which was held at London Wembley Arena.
Later on in December 2011, Il Divo took part in the exclusive AOL Music's Sessions, New York City, where the group was interviewed and performed six songs which were streamed via their website. They announced their world tour in 2011 which will see Il Divo tour across Canada, U.S.A, Japan, Australia, South Africa and the UK.
