Italian MotoGP
The Mugello circuit lies in the heart of the achingly beautiful countryside of the Tuscany, 30km north-east of Florance.
The original 5.245km circuit was built in 1974; Ferrari bought Mugello in 1988 and after a huge facelift, managed turn Mugello into an impressive, modern racetrack with up-to-date safety measures.
Mugello played host to MotoGP from 1976 right until its temporary closure – since 1991 MotoGP has once again become a permanent fixture on the motorsport calendar.
Slow and fast turns, sweeping curves, long straights and off-camber corners … Mugello pushes the riders to their extremes, guaranteeing top class motorsport spectacles.
