About The Vamps
The Vamps formed in 2012 and created a strong following via YouTube. They first started out when James McVey approached Bradley Simpson through YouTube. The pair started to write songs together and soon Tristan Evans and Connor Ball joined the band.
They were signed to Mercury Records in November 2012. The following year they supported McFly on their Memory Lane Tour.
The Vamps then released their first single, Can We Dance, in October 2013. This followed the first airing of the song on YouTube, which resulted in over a million views in the first two weeks. The single debuted at number 2 on the Official UK Singles Chart.
Their success continued with the release of the singles Wild Heart and Last Night. Both singles became top 10 hits on the Official UK Singles Chart. The Vamps released their debut album, Meet The Vamps, in April 2014. It debuted at number 2 on the Official UK Albums Chart.
As well as their chart success, The Vamps have supported huge names on tour and in concerts. Following their tour with McFly in 2013, The Vamps supported Taylor Swift during her London residency at The O2 in February 2014. The Vamps then toured with The Wanted on the UK and Ireland leg of their Word Of Mouth Tour.
The Vamps embarked on their first arena headline tour of the UK and Ireland in September and October 2014. After announcing a number of shows, The Vamps extended the tour to include 14 concerts due to huge ticket demand.
The Vamps follow Meet The Vamps, which included singles Can We Dance, Wild Heart and Oh Cecilia with Wake UP.
