Evita tells the story of Eva Peron, wife to Argentinean president, Juan Peron. Born into the Argentinean slums, Eva died in 1953 as her countries The First Lady, aged just 33 - the most powerful famous woman Latin America had ever seen, Eva Peron was mourned by millions.
Eva Peron was never an elected leader, but she was the country’s spiritual leader. Using her status, charisma and influence to help the poor, her beauty, glamour and greed made her an international recognized political celebrity.
Evita’s multi award winning production team and stunning new orchestration by Andrew Lloyd-Webber tells the story of passion and tragic, of the world’s first political female celebrity.
