The Emerald Isle Classic 2012
The Emerald Isle Classic 2012 is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) American college football game played in Ireland. The tournament began in 1988 and was first played at Lansdowne Road, Ireland.
Although, not immediately a complete success, the next match in 1996 drew in 40,000 fans, with 10,000 people travelling from the U.S.A and was played at Croke Park, Ireland (also known as The Shamrock Classic). The winner from this match was Notre Dame.
