Froch V Groves rematch to be held at Wembley Stadium
The rematch between Carl Froch V George Groves will take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 31 May.

The British super-middleweight rivals agreed to the rematch in February but it was still undecided as to where it should take place. The fight will be held at Wembley Stadium and is expected to break the current post-War attendance of a boxing match.

Froch and Groves first faced each other in November at Manchester Arena. The match was stopped in the ninth round by the referee with the reason that Groves could no longer continue.

Carl Froch retained his WBA and IBF super-middleweight title and Groves, who was leading on points, led an appeal for the rematch.

The current post-War attendance record is held by Ricky Hatton and Juan Lazcano’s fight in 2008 at the City of Manchester Stadium where 55,000 fans watched the match.

Wembley Stadium can hold up to 90,000 people and promoter Eddie Hearn is said to be hoping for an attendance of 80,000. The match will be the first boxing match to take place since it reopened in 2007.

Froch v Groves tickets are rumoured to go on sale on Monday 10 March 2014.
