Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse to tour the UK in autumn 2015
16 Apr 2015
Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse will bring their classic characters to life live on stage this autumn.
The comedy duo will perform for 17 nights around the UK starting in Plymouth on 24 October. Tickets for the tour will be available from Friday 17 April.
The tour will be the first time that Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse have taken their TV characters to stage. Fans will get to see live sketches based around the likes of Loadsamoney, Smashie and Nicey, Kevin the Teenager and the Old Gits.
Ahead of the tour’s announcement, the pair spoke to the Radio Times, “We have never done it since 1988 and all the stuff we have done on telly has never been done live. Before we die, or before another comedian puts a contract out on us we thought we’d do a live show.
“Hopefully in the autumn. Mainly in Iceland but we thought we’d do a couple of UK dates.”
The duo have been working together for 25 years. Their work includes the 1990 show Harry Enfield and Chums and their sketch show Harry & Paul. Both programmes aired on the BBC. The pair are said to be working on a show for the channel to celebrate 25 years together.
