08 Aug 2014
Sam Smith has been reported to be in talks to record the next James Bond theme song.
The Sun reported that the singer-songwriter is allegedly in talks with bosses to record the next James Bond theme song.
The 24th James Bond film will star Daniel Craig and is due for release on 23 October. Reports from The Sun also state that no final decision has been made.
The film follows on from 2012’s Skyfall, which saw Adele record the theme track to critical and commercial acclaim.
Sam Smith would become the first male solo artist to record the bond theme track since 1965 when Tom Jones sang Thunderball.
The 22-year old singer released his debut album, In The Lonely Hour, earlier this year that rose to No.1 on the UK charts.
In October, Sam Smith will start his UK in support of the track playing 11-dates throughout September and November. Sam Smith tickets are now on sale with tour information available here.
