Taylor Swift pays student loan debt for fan

Taylor Swift showed her generosity once again by paying off $1,989 (£1,300) of a fan’s student loan debt.
The Shake It Off singer was seen over Christmas sending her fans boxes of presents and now she’s gone one step further by giving a fan the money to pay off her student loan.
The fan in question, 25-year-old Rebekah Bortnicker, received the money, a necklace and a picture. The gift was accompanied by a note written by Swift which said, “now you’re $1989 closer to paying off those student loans”.
Bortnicker posted a picture of the gifts she received from the American star along with a video of herself opening the presents. Swift then shared the video on her Tumblr blog adding, “I love you so much”.
Taylor Swift released her fifth album, 1989, last year. The star will return to the UK and Ireland during the summer to play just five shows in support of the record. Swift will visit Glasgow, Manchester, London and Dublin during her 1989 world tour.
