After rumours have circulated for months, it has finally been revealed that Sam Smith will record the new James Bond theme song.
The news was finally confirmed by Sam Smith who tweeted, “This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song.”

The 23-year-old singer released his debut album, In The Lonely Hour, in May 2014. The album was proceeded by singles Lay Me Down, Money On My Mind and Stay With Me. The latter two went to No.1 in the UK, which soon followed by his chart-topping debut.
The singer’s rise continued with a slew of awards and nominations, including winning four Grammy Awards, two BRITs and three Billboard Music Awards.
