T in the Park to have boutique feel in 2015
17 Jul 2014
T in the Park is set to move to a new site in 2015 and with it organisers have revealed what fans can expect from T in the Park 2015.
The much-loved Scottish music festival will move home in 2015 to the new site of Strathallan Castle in Perthshire. With the move, the festival is expected to have a change in feel.
The site will still accommodate a similar number of people, 85,000, but organiser Geoeff Ellis has expressed the site will have a more boutique style.
Talking to the BBC, Geoff said, “It'll have more of a boutique feel I suppose. There are lots of mature trees, a castle, tree lined avenues. It'll be a voyage of discovery for those going.”
He continued, "We might split the fields so, for example, have one field for leftfield music and the healthy eating area."
The relocation from Balado Airfields to of Strathallan Castle is due to an oil pipeline running under the old site. T in the Park enjoyed its 18th year at Balado Airfields on 11 – 13 July 2014.
The festival featured standout acts from the likes of Paolo Nutini and Ed Sheeran while Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro and Calvin Harris headlined the festival. Tickets for T in the Park 2015 are now available.
