What not to miss at Creamfields 2014
Creamfields Fesitval is known for their standout line-ups and this year is no different with the likes of Hardwell, My Nu Leng, Calvin Harris and Steve Aoki playing at the festival over the weekend.
On the opening night of the festival you can head over to That Mixmag Thing stage where you will find Andy C, the cream of D’n’B producers, featuring 2Shy and Sub Focus (Live) playing.
Over on the Cream stage Dimitri Vega, Steve Aoki & Like Mike will be taking over while the Nation stage will feature special guest Danny Avila.
On Saturday 23 August one to watch out for his the house/techo producer Breach (remember the track Jack from last summer?) while Deadmau5 will be on the North Stage. If you’re a techno lover his huge productions are one to see.
Rounding off Saturday is the Swedish DJ Avicii, who’s on the South Stage, and Claude Vonstroke who’s playing the All Gone Pete Tong stage, ahead of Pete Tong himself.
Sadly, Sunday 23 will be the last chance to see as many acts as possible! Sunday stand-outs include Tiesto on the South Stage, Booka Shade who will be playing a DJ Set at the Mixmag Presents tent and Mistajam. The final day will also include Redlight, Fatboy Slim and Nervo.
Got your Creamfields tickets?
If you’ve already got your tickets here’s a roundup a few things you need to know about before attending the festival.
The first festival saviour is Festibarrow. They let you rent a sturdy wheelbarrow to get your stuff from the car parks to the camping area. Forget about lugging your tent, chair, bag, sleeping bag, and whatever else it is that you brought, just put it all into one of the wheelbarrows and you’re away!
Next up is the Club Class Luxury Toilets and Showers. Club Class offer individual showers, luxury real toilets and a pamper area complete with mirrors. They even supply hair dryers and GHD straighteners to keep you looking your best. Club Class is available to all camping ticket holders.
And for those wanting to Instagram ever second: Charge Candy will be on hand to charge your phone throughout the weekend. Charge Candy offers both takeaway chargers and a designated area where you can drop your phone off and pick it up later. Lockers are also available to rent over the weekend which offer integrated phone charging.
Finally, a few things that are allowed in the campsite but not in the event arena. Alcohol is allowed in the campsite (no glass/bottles) but isn’t allowed in the event arena, likewise with cans, soft drinks and plastic bottles. For those wanting to cook, disposable BBQs, gel fuel stoves, trangia meths stoves and hexi stoves (solid fuel blocks) are permitted in the campsite but not in the event arena. View the full list of what is and isn’t allowed on site here.
