Taylor Swift announced as first BST Hyde Park festival headliner

British Summer Time Hyde Park have revealed that Taylor Swift will headline the 2015 London festival.
The Shake It Off singer has been named the first headliner of the Barclaycard British Summer Time event and is set to take over The Royal Oak Stage on Saturday 23 June. The concert is part of Taylor Swift’s 1989 world tour.
The announcement was made on Monday 3 November in conjunction with Taylor Swift’s world tour reveal. The 24-year-old singer will also perform shows in Glasgow and Manchester during June as part of her tour.
BST Hyde Park festival takes place every summer in London’s Hyde Park. The festival is known for bringing together an eclectic mix of talent to create one of the best summer parties of the year. Tickets for Taylor Swift’s headline performance go on general sale on Monday 10 November.
Last year, festival goers enjoyed headline performances from Black Sabbath, Arcade Fire, McBusted, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Tom Jones and The Libertines.
Taylor Swift released her fifth album, 1989, last week. The album shot to No.1 in the UK and is predicted to have the best opening week in the US since Eminem’s 2002 release.
