Ed Sheeran steps in for Justin Bieber at Fusion Festival

Ed Sheeran will play his last ever UK show on his X tour this August after stepping in for Justin Bieber at Fusion Festival.
After Justin Bieber was forced to pull out of Birmingham’s Fusion Festival, Ed Sheeran has stepped in as a replacement.
The Canadian star Justin Bieber was due to play his first UK show in two years at Fusion Festival in Birmingham this August but has cancelled due to an ‘unforeseen issue’.
The festival was quick to find an equal replacement. They confirmed that the Thinking Out Loud singer, Ed Sheeran, will take Justin Bieber’s place and headline Fusion Festival on Friday 28 August.
It was a surprise announcement as Ed Sheeran had previously said his Wembley Stadium shows were the last of his UK X tour dates. Posting on Twitter, he said, “I know I said Wembley was my last UK show of this tour but my mate had a cancellation on his festival so I'm filling in last minute.
“It's called Fusion fest, it's in Birmingham, and it's on the 28th of August, this is the last booked UK show of the X tour. No more after.”
Fusion Festival will now be Ed Sheeran’s last UK date in support of X. The album, which spent an entire year in the UK Albums Chart top 40, includes Thinking Out Loud, Sing and Bloodstream.
Along with Ed Sheeran, McBusted and Rudimental will headline the event, which is held over the August bank holiday weekend from 28 to 30 August. Performances from Tinie Tempah, Rixton, Labrinth, The Vamps, Clean Bandit and more will take place during the weekend.
Fusion Festial tickets are now on sale here to see Ed Sheeran, McBusted and Rudimental live.
