The annual Bloodstock Open Air Festival has announced Alice Cooper as the first of its 2012 headliners.
It will be the veteran shocker-rocker’s only UK festival appearance in 2012. "As Bloodstock organisers but more importantly Huge fans of Alice Cooper, we are thrilled to have such an iconic artist close proceedings on the Sunday night!” says Vicky Gregory, one of the Bloodstock Open Air promoters, “We have been after Alice for a number of years and are extremely excited to see him grace the Ronnie James Dio stage and guarantee this will be a performance not to be missed"
Alice Cooper, who scored hits with “Poison” and “School’s Out For Summer,” has just come off the road in the UK with his highly successful “Welcome 2 My Nightmare Tour” in October.
Bloodstock Open Air 2012 is taking place at Catton Hall on 9th – 12th August.
