Kasabian Voted Best Performer At T In The Park 2012
T in the Park came to a dramatic end as Indie-Gods Kasabian closed T in the Park 2012 last weekend.

A plethora of a-list bands and dance acts performed at this year's T in The Park as the rain poured and occasionally ceased to give the party-mad revelers a chance of staying dry.

Leicestershire heavyweights, Kasabian thanked the weather and announce to the crowd that everyone had "survived" the downfall.

Top hits from festival regulars Kasabian included 'Where Did All The Love Go?' from their ever-popular 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' album as well as 'Days Are Forgotten,' 'Velociraptor!' and many more energy-fuelled indie-rock anthems.

And today, readers of music magazine NME have honoured Kasabian's T in the Park Festival performance and voted the band 'Best Act at T in the Park 2012'! Congratulations! Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds came second and The Stone Roses much-anticipated comeback was put on the 3rd place.

Other top artists at last weekend's T in the Park 2012 included Nicki Minaj, who arrived almost an hour late for her gig and subsequently received booes from the waiting fans. Once the music drowned out the booing, the crowd quickly seemed to warm up again to Nicki Minaj.

Dance outfit Swedish House Mafia took to the stage and played some of their many club smashes, such as 'Know Your Name' and 'One' with a thrilling pyrotechnic display. Swedish House Mafia's T in the Park appearace will be one of tthe band's last. The band announced their split after a few more festival and one massive headline show this summer.

With T in the Park 2012 proving to be one of the most popular festival destinations for Scottish and British music fanatics alike, T in the Park 2013 or as it will be called, T20 cannot fail. The gargantuan festival is scelebrating its 20th anniversary next summer and organisers have already promised to make sure 2013 will top this year's festival. A tough challenge to beat, considering this year saw The Stone Roses and Kasabian.

T in the Park (T20) is taking place over the July weekend, 12th - 14th 2013 at the Balado Airfield in Glenrothes. The line-up is still being put together with the first confirmations to be expected later this summer. You can already secure your 2013 T in the Park tickets on Ticketmaster’s GET ME IN! ticket market. Don't miss out on what is set to be again of the UK's summer festival highlights!
