Girl With A Pearl Earring Author At Chelsea Flower Show

Tracy Chevalier, author of "Girl With a Pearl Earring” has agreed to be writer in residence on Press Day at Chelsea Flower Show. The event is taking place 22–26 May 2012, and will see 157,000 visitors pass through the gardens at this spectacular annual British event.
The famous author, who is from Dorset, will be working in a shepherds hut in one of the 14 show gardens which is specially-constructed Dorset-style while she works on writing her next masterpiece.
The hut pays tribute to the famous writer, Thomas Hardy who is from Dorset and has been designed by Adam Woolcott and Jonathan Smith who are specialists in old fashioned and natural creations.
The new garden is based on the Dorset countryside and will feature a wild garden, a stream and the shepherds hut.
Tickets for Chelsea Flower show are sure to be in demand again as the show is set to be even bigger and better than last year. With new food courts and restaurants, Chelsea Flower Show is a great day out for people who want to be a part of this horticultural hub of activity.
