The Libertines confirm Hyde Park reunion show
25 Apr 2014
The Libertines have confirmed that they will reunite for a performance on 5 July at Hyde Park.
The reunion show will be part of British Summer Time festival that takes place in Hyde Park from 4 – 13 July. The Libertines headline show is scheduled for 5 July 2014 and will be their biggest UK show to date.
The Libertines will be supported by The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park, The Enemy, Swim Deep, Reverend & The Makers, Wolf Alice and more.
Rumours about a reunion started earlier in the week when Pete Doherty said in an interview he had been made an offer to reunite the band.
Sparks continued when Carl Barat seemingly confirmed the news and then British Summer Time added a picture of Time For Heroes on their Facebook page on Thursday 24 April.
The Libertines reached cult status, despite only releasing two albums 2002’s Up The Bracket and 2004’s The Libertines. They split in 2004 but reunited in 2010 for a performance at Reading and Leeds Festival.
Libertines tickets will go on general sale on Friday 2 May.
