Cheryl Cole Sacked From US X Factor
This morning, X Factor fans woke up to the news over Cheryl Cole's sacking as judge on US X Factor.

Entertainment blog TMZ claims US X Factor producers feared Cheryl Cole’s Newcastle accent would be too strong and tricky to understand for US audiences. Former Pussycat Doll singer, Nicole Scherzinger is tipped to replace Cole on the panel.

Cheryl Cole was set to join the panel of US X Factor judges alongside Paula Abdul, Antonio LA Reid and Simon Cowell.

The ex-Girls Aloud star’s position on US X Factor has been surrounded by controversy right from the start. Initially, US producers deemed Cheryl Cole’s limited popularity on the US market an issue and it took Simon Cowell’s weight as undisputed pop-impresario and X Factor star to get Cheryl Cole on the plane to the US.

Then in a surprise turn earlier this week, Simon Cowell publicly ordered Cheryl Cole to make more of an effort and dress sexy for the US audiences.

The sack from X Factor comes as a major blow for Cheryl Cole and the long-time X Factor supporter sees her plans for an US career in shatters.

But back on British soil, Cheryl Cole’s star remains as bright and popular as ever. The singer, who launched her career as part of the chart-storming girl group, Girls Aloud, released her second solo album “Messy Little Raindrops” last year and completed a series of highly successful solo shows as support for The Black Eyed Peas. Cheryl Cole is rumoured to return to her UK fans later this year with a new album and tour soon.
