Black Eyed Peas Pull Out Of Jacko Tribute
05 Oct 2011
Black Eyed Peas have pulled out from appearing at the Michael Forever Tribute Concert!
Citing "unavoidable circumstances," Black Eyed Peas are the second high-profile act forced to exit the concert's line-up. Back in August, veteran glam-rockers Kiss were dropped by the event's promoter, Global Live, after an outcry of fans and media complaints. The dissent was based on controversial comments that Kiss frontman Gene Simmons made about Michael Jackson during an interview last year.
The gargantuum concert has been plagued with controversies, not least because of Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine outspoken disappointment about the timing of the event. Jermaine Jackson insists the concert should have been pushed back and not clash with the ongoing public trial of Michael Jackson's doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray. Dr. Murray is accused of gross negliance and involuntary manslaughter.
Despite the set-backs, Michael Jackson Forever - The Tribute Concert will go ahead this Saturday, 8th October at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium with an A-List celebrity line-up that includes the King of Pop's sister, La Toya Jackson, Leona Lewis, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, Ne-Yo, Jennifer Hudson, Craig David, Alexandra Burke, Alien Ant Farm, JLS, Diversity and Pixie Lott. Beyonce promises a special video tribute for Michael to be screened during the event and it is rumoured more, as of yet unannounced Special Guests are to appear during the show.
The Michael Forever Tribute Concert will be the first ever pay-per-view live stream on Facebook. For about $4-5 fans can watch the concert anywhere in the world. For those with the possibility to be live at the centre of this historic concert still can buy Michael Forever Tribute Concert tickets on Ticketmaster's GET ME IN! ticket market site.
