Madonna Denies 2012 Live Dates
18 Oct 2011
Madonna is gearing up for her return with a new album tipped for a spring 2012 release.
The superstar’s long-awaited follow-up to 2008’s “Hard Candy” is currently in the final stages of completion. Back at the mixing desk at Madge’s New York studio is long-time Madonna producer, William Orbit.
Hard Candy’s follow-up album will be Madonna’s 11th studio album and her first to be released as part of her landmark 360 deal with concert promoter Live Nation.
Fans are also waiting for a Madonna tour announcement in support of the new album. Madonna’s publicist, Liv Rosenberg was quick in denying any rumours and specific tour dates that were published on a Madonna fansite and claimed the source a leaked Live Nation press release.
The press release stated several tour dates across four continents, with the tour allegedly launching in March 2012 in Auckland, New Zealand.
The bottom line for fans: At this stage no Madonna live concerts have been confirmed and there are currently no Madonna tickets on sale for possible dates in 2012.
Neither confirmed nor denied is Madonna’s live appearance at the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show in February. Commenting on the Super Bowl rumours, Rosenberg said, “there is nothing to confirm or deny at this time."
