Damon Albarn Has A New Supergroup
01 Nov 2011
Sometime Blur frontman, Damon Albarn is set to play the first The Good, The Bad and The Queen gig in almost three years.
The one-off show is taking place at The Coronet in London on 10th November and features the complete The Good, The Bad and The Queen supergroup with its stellar line-up with The Clash’s Paul Simonon, The Verve’s Simon Tong, Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen and production whizz kid, Danger Mouse amongst many more.
While fans are looking forward to the show, Damon Albarn is already busy working on his next move. “Rocketjuice and The Moon” is Albarn’s new musical supergroup project with no other than Red Hot Chili Pepper bass legend, Flea and Tony Allen behind the drum kit.
Rocketjuice and The Moon have so far only published six live videos of the songs “Here We Go,” “Dolo Mbife,” “Red Skies,” “The Moon,” “Damn,” and “Put it Out.” The band played their only public live performance last Saturday at London’s Barbican.
