Arcade Fire Member Joins The National On Stage
01 Dec 2010
Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry surprised the crowd at the capacity packed London O2 Brixton Academy at last night when he stepped onstage to join American indie band, The National on a couple of songs.
The Arcade Fire’s multi-instrumentalist performed “Sorrow” and “Anyone’s Ghost” amongst other numbers with The National on stage before The National’s frontman, Matt Berninger jokingly announced Arcade Fire would play London’s intimate Barfly venue.
Berninger retracted and insisted he was just “kiddin’.” In fact Arcade Fire are set to play to sold-out shows at huge The O2 Arena in London tonight and tomorrow.
The National are in London for 2 live dates, with the second show taking place tonight. Arcade Fire are also still in town to kick-start their 6-dates UK tour with 2 London concerts at The O2, tonight and tomorrow, 8th December.
Tickets for the remaining Arcade Fire tour dates are still available through Ticketmaster’s tickets marketplace, GET ME IN!
