New Foo Fighters Album Finished
The Foo Fighters are about to make their big return. Speaking to Zane Lowe on Radio 1, Foo’s frontman Dave Grohl announced that the long-awaited follow-up album to 2007’s “Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace” has been finished and is expected to be out in spring.

Produced by Butch Vig, the album marks the first time Grohl and Vig collaborated since Nirvana’s 1991 global success, “Nevermind.”

The recording process saw the Foo Fighters going back to basics, avoiding computers in the recording process and recording in Dave Grohl’s garage.

"It's different to any other Foo Fighters album,” says Grohl “because it just sounds big. It was really inspiring."

Grohl hinted at 11 ‘no-fillers,’ ‘no-ballads’ rock tunes on the as yet untitled new album.

British Foo Fighter fans can hear the new material live when the band arrives on British soil for their open-air shows at the huge Milton Keynes Bowl on 2nd and 3rd July and festival headline appearances at the Isle of Wight Festival (10th June) and T in the Park 2011 (8th July).
