One Direction and Coldplay to perform at BBC Music Awards

One Direction and Coldplay have been confirmed to perform at the inaugural BBC Music Awards in December.
The BBC announced today that Brit-heartthrobs One Direction will be on the line-up of talent performing at the ceremony, which is to be held at London’s Earl’s Court on 11 December.
Along with One Direction, the BBC have compiled a staggering line-up of Britain’s best performances which includes Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Clean Bandit, Paloma Faith and Calvin Harris.
The BBC Music Awards is the first ever awards ceremony by the BBC and it will see the BBC One, Radio 1 and Radio 2 come together to celebrate the past year of pop music.
The ceremony will be presented by Chris Evans and Fern Cotton and will see the best international and British acts awarded prizes. There will be prize for British Artist of the Year, International Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. The latter of which will be decided by a public vote.
BBC Music Awards take place on Thursday 11 December at Earl’s Court in London. Tickets are now on sale.
