Pharrell Williams receives Key to his hometown
Pharrell Williams has been awarded a Key to his hometown, Virginia Beach, during a recent visit.

The singer returned to Virginia Beach on Saturday 7 June. His visited included a trip to his old High School where he was presented with a Key to the city by the Virginia Beach Mayor, Will Sessoms.

During the visit to Princess Anne High School he spoke about what he learnt while being a student there.

Pharrell Williams also spoke about how much his teachers encouraged him to pursue his dreams. It seemed to have paid off as he can now boast seven Grammy Awards, a successful career as a producer, singer and songwriter and his most recent album, GIRL, has landed Pharrell his first solo No.1 album on the Official UK Albums Chart.

In support of GIRL Pharrell Williams recently announced that he would bring his tour to the UK with shows in Manchester and London. The shows follow on from his festival appearances at Wireless and T in the Park. Tickets are now on sale for Pharrell Williams’ upcoming concerts.
