Eminem banned from playing Hyde Park
It has been revealed that Eminem was banned from performing at Hyde Park due to “offensive” and “unsuitable” lyrics.

The Mirror has reported that the real reason Eminem was unable to perform at BST Hyde Park festival was due to the Royal Parks, who run Hyde Park, decision that his performance could upset other park user.

The report was revealed through a Freedom of Information act with The Mirror stating that terms had been agreed for the rapper to perform at British Summer Time Festival.

Instead, Eminem is set to play two shows at London’s Wembley Stadium on 11 and 12 July 2014. The news was originally announced through a picture saying, “Never Mind Hyde Park”.

The Eminem Wembley Stadium shows will mean that he is the first rapper to perform a headline show at the venue. It will also be his first concert in London since 2001. Eminem tickets are now on sale.
