New Band To Rival One Direction
Ask a teenage music fans and you’re likely to hear that One Direction tickets are hot right now. X Factor judge and pop impresario, Louis Walsh is now looking to challenge this and has announced his plans to put together a new boyband to rival One Direction.

It’s hard to imagine a world without One Direction these days, but it was only three years ago that Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson came together to become the X-Factor’s biggest success story. The boys only came in 3rd while Leona Lewis won the crown of the popular ITV talent contest.

Now, fellow X-Factor judge and former boyband manager, Louis Walsh is looking toexpand his portfolio of talent, and announced his plans to hold auditions for a new band to rival One Direction.

With success in launching the careers of Boyzone and Irish group Westlife, LouisWalsh has promised the ‘package’ will include a high profile partnership and a lucrative deal for the next big thing.

The auditions will be for a five-member outfit, and are open to boys aged 16 and over.

“It’s boys over 16 from anywhere, any nationality,” explains Louis Walsh “but they must be prepared to work hard. Vocals are key…”

Louis Walsh is set to return for the 10th series of The X-Factor and is eager to shake things up on the show.

One Direction have not only been a success on our shores and Europe. The band is also a hit stateside and have already sold in excess of 3 million albums inNorth America alone. While this is impressive, Louis Walsh’s track record with Westlife includes 50 million sold albums and 20 million with his Boyzone protégés.

One Direction are currently on the last leg of their European arena tour beforeflying to America where demand for One Direction tickets has forced the band to add more dates to supply demand.

And the band doesn’t seem to slow down. Last week news broke about one direction's big announcement 2013 for Thursday, 16th May this week. What could the one direction big announcement be about? Louis Walsh has picked up a tough battle!
