One Direction One Big Up All Night Review
It’s been a whirlwind year for One Direction. After keeping the world on tenterhooks with One Direction's big announcement 2013; the boys have now stormed the United States by winning three Billboard Music Awards and selling all One Direction tickets for their US dates!

One Direction were joined at the Billboard Awards 2013 by other famous pop acts, including Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, who all picked up various awards. But it was 1D's evening: One Direction were nominated for a whooping eight awards and ended up with three accolades to their name: Top Pop Artist, Top New Artist and Top Duo/Group.

What has led One Direction to become one of the world’s biggest boybands of all time? With two studio albums under their belt, “Up All Night” (2011) which contains the smash hit singles “What Makes You Beautiful”, “Gotta be you”, “One Thing” and “More than This”, and more recently, their second offering, ‘Take Me Home’; life is looking pretty rosy for Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.

Take Me Home was released Christmas 2012 and was produced by the same long list of Swedish producers Julian Bunetta, Cirkut, Dr. Luke, Carl Falk, Kristoffer Fogelmark, Jake Gosling, Steve Robson, Shellback and Rami Yacoub, who are credited on One Direction’s first ever chart-topping album.

The winning formula makes the second album equally appealing to the first, Up All Night. The boys continued working with credible artists on the album, including Ed Sheeran on their single “Little Things” and “Over Again” and with highflying pop-rockers, McFly on “I Would”.

The album contains some catchy songs, with their most well-known track “Live While We’re Young” which reached #3 on the UK Singles Chart and “Over Again”, which has also been written by Ed Sheeran, giving One Direction a softer, ballad feel, well suited to their voices.

The album’s final song “Summer Love” finishes off nicely with a poppy anthem – the perfect ending track for a great pop album.
