Future of McFly and Busted

McFly and Busted revealed at a press conference earlier today that they thought the time was right to tour together with McFly’s 10 year anniversary.

Although Charlie Simpson was not in attendance McFly and Busted did say that they were still good friends with Charlie. Charlie is not taking part in the McBusted tour as he is currently working on solo material.

The tour will not see the end of McFly. Tom said during the announcement that this is just an extra project. Along with McFly’s new single, they also have a new album that will be released in 2014.

McBusted will be performing prior to the tour during Children In Need. It will be their first official performance together as McBusted.

McBusted Announcement

The media were invited to a press announcement from McFly and Busted on Monday 11 November where they released the news of the McBusted tour.

The announcement followed after Busted took to the stage with McFly during McFly’s tenth anniversary show in September. The performance, which took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall, went down a treat with fans.

Today’s announcement was hosted by Emma Willis but Charlie Simpson was not in attendance. He revealed previously that he would not be joining the two groups via his Twitter page.

Busted originally split in 2005 while McFly have continued to see success with a new single ‘Love Is On The Radio’ to be released on 24 November. For tickets click here.
