One Direction release third album
25 Nov 2013
One Direction have released their third studio album "Midnight Memories".
One Direction’s latest offering “Midnight Memories” has been released today following a busy One Direction weekend.
The weekend featured a performance from the boys on the X Factor results show and they held their very own One Direction Day on Saturday 23 November.
The album release follows on from the singles “Best Song Ever”, “Story of My Life”, “Diana”, “Midnight Memories” and “Strong”.
The bands previous albums “Up All Night” and “Take Me Home” both performed extremely well in the UK charts reaching the No.2 and No.1 position respectively.
The release of “Midnight Memories” follows on from One Direction Day, where the band promoted the album in a 7 hour live stream broadcast.
One Direction Day may not have gone entirely smoothly with a few technical glitches but it did go down a treat with fans.
The live stream was packed with famous guests including an appearance from model Cindy Crawford, wrestler Kurt Angle and singer Michael Buble.
Simon Cowell, who’s record label Syco Music released the album along with Columbia Records and Sony Music, also had a chat with the One Direction boys.
One Direction are embarking on their “Where We Are” stadium tour in 2014. The tour sees the boys performing at stadiums in Sunderland, Manchester, Edinburgh, London and Dublin in the UK and Ireland during 2014. Tickets for the “Where We Are” tour are on sale now.
