Kylie Minogue to release twelfth studio album Kiss Me Once
14 Mar 2014
Kylie Minogue will release her twelfth studio album, Kiss Me Once, next week following mixed reviews.
The album, which is Kylie’s first studio album since 2010’s Aphrodite, is to be released on Monday 17 March while the lead single, Into The Blue, is out now.
Reviews for Kiss Me Once have been mixed with The Guardian saying, “A handful of great moments, a bunch of filler, some excruciating lyrics about sex: you could use that to describe countless other Kylie Minogue albums. They went platinum: this probably will, too.”
Whereas Digital Spy. offered, “Kiss Me Once is a triumph and easily ranks highly among the best albums of her career. The euphoric blasts of 'If Only' and soothing synths on 'Feels So Good' - a remake of Tom Aspaul's 'Indiana' - is where Kylie breaks new ground and sounds at her most exciting and re-energised, pointing to a singer who is far from ready to hang up her stilettos yet.”
Kylie Minogue produced the album with Sia Furler, amongst others, and it is her first album under the management of Jay Z’s Roc Nation.
Aphrodite, her eleventh studio album, went to No.1 on the UK Official Singles Chart and the album’s lead single, All The Others, peaked at No.3.
Along with the new album Kylie can be seen imparting her 27 years of music industry wisdom to contestants on the BBC1 show The Voice where she is one of the four judges.
The album is available to pre-order now.
