Black Stone Cherry announce first UK headline arena tour
25 Mar 2014
Black Stone Cherry announces a series of arena shows to take place in October and November 2014 with support from Airbourne and Theory of a Deadman.
The six date tour will start with the Kentucky rockers performing in Glasgow on 26 October. Black Stone Cherry will then head to Sheffield, Cardiff, Birmingham and Manchester before a final show at London’s Wembley Arena on 1 November 2014.
Drummer, John Fred Young said, "We are beyond thrilled to be headlining our first arena tour in the UK! It's amazing for us to have this opportunity and we owe it all to the incredible fans that continue to support us and believe in our music!"
Black Stone Cherry’s last UK dates, ‘Southern Hospitality’, took place in February. Tickets for the event sold out in a day. They are set to release their fourth studio album, Magic Mountain, on 5 May 2014.
Supporting them on the UK tour will be Australian band Airbourne, who released their third album Black Dog Barking in May 2013, and Canadians Theory of a Deadman.
Black Stone Cherry tickets go on general sale on Friday 28 March at 9am.
